We’re a Place Where All are Welcome

Fill 1green Line

St. Paul’s Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) which strives to be a faithful, welcoming, and caring congregation by inviting all to grow in Christ and serve him.

Our Beliefs

We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as our Creator, our Savior, and sustainer of life. We are a broken people forgiven and freed by God’s grace to serve and love our neighbor. At St. Paul’s everyone is welcome to receive the Lord’s Supper, and we believe service is a fundamental expression of our faith. We aim to nurture one another in our Christian faith, allowing prayer and scripture to guide us daily.

God’s purpose for our church is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus through word and deed.

Our History

St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lowry has a long and distinguished history beginning on July 27, 1874 when the church was organized with the help of Reverend Christian Saugstad, who became the first pastor.

Since then St. Paul's has seen many changes from the log building constructed in 1875 to the frame structure erected in 1904, from moving into the village of Lowry in 1920 to the building of a new sanctuary in 1997, from the building of a new fellowship hall in 2017 to the community we are today. Through all the changes we hope to continually serve as a people of peace and hope grounded in a changeless divine love.
